The Season of Advent began on Sunday, November 30, and continues through Wednesday, December 24. Advent is the season of waiting, preparation, and penance. It awakens us not only for the birth of Christ, but it is also the beginning of a new liturgical year.
On the first Sunday of Advent, we transitioned from cycle C to cycle A. Cycle A focuses on the Gospel of Luke, which we will hear during each Mass this Advent season. Learn more about Advent.
Welcome to St Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, a small urban core Roman Catholic Church with a big heart in the Blue Hills neighborhood of mid-town Kansas City, Missouri. We are a very faith-filled, diverse, spirit-led community that is small enough to be a very intimate and close-knit family yet large enough to serve our brothers and sisters in the community who are less fortunate than we are.
We are united at the Table of the Lord in the Eucharist. We enjoy being a family and the love and support that we can share. We enjoy fellowship and fun with our church family and are driven by a sense of justice and peace in our neighborhood and beyond.
Our diverse community joins as one spiritual family to praise the Lord each Sunday at 9 a.m. If you can't join us in person, please join us virtually by viewing our Catholic Mass livestream on our parish Facebook page.
Click this video to watch the latest Mass. Make your offering. We welcome everyone to worship with us each week.
"It's a great place to hear the Word in a friendly, family-like atmosphere.
St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church does not meet strangers.
You are family once you enter the door. Everyone is welcome!"
~Sandra J.
"The people and the holy spirit live, breathe, share, and love.
I have never been to a more welcoming, uplifting Parish!"
~Denise R.
"When your soul needs a little peace from this crazy world, come
and absorb the love St. Therese has a lot to offer."
~Rebecca C.
Enjoy the fellowship and fun in our church family.
