Our Mission

Saint Therese Little Flower Parish is a diverse faith community of love
and acceptance, serving God and our dear neighbor
through vibrant liturgies and social outreach.

The Season of Lent

The Season of Lent

Lent begins on Ash Wednesday (March 5th) and continues for 40+ days, ending with the start of the Mass of the Lord’s Supper on Holy Thursday. The liturgical season prepares us for Christ’s death and Resurrection. In this season of penitential preparation, we turn our hearts and minds to God through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving.

Lent lasts 40 days because Christ spent 40 days in the desert, fasting, praying, and preparing for his mission. It is the perfect time to form life-giving habits and abandon self-destructive habits. Lent is your chance to discover the abundant life Jesus invites us to at Easter. Learn more.

A family of faith-filled
parishioners with love & support

Welcome to St Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, a small urban core Roman Catholic Church with a big heart in the Blue Hills neighborhood of mid-town Kansas City, Missouri. We are a very faith-filled, diverse, spirit-led community that is small enough to be a very intimate and close-knit family yet large enough to serve our brothers and sisters in the community who are less fortunate than we are.

We are united at the Table of the Lord in the Eucharist. We enjoy being a family and the love and support that we can share. We enjoy fellowship and fun with our church family and are driven by a sense of justice and peace in our neighborhood and beyond.

Watch Mass online

Our diverse community joins as one spiritual family to praise the Lord each Sunday at 9 a.m. If you can't join us in person, please join us virtually by viewing our Catholic Mass livestream on our parish Facebook page.
